Not all patterns repeat — some patterns GROW! A growing pattern gets bigger by the same amount each step. The amount it grows each time is called the RULE.
A growing pattern (add 1 each time):
1 star, 2 stars, 3 stars, 4 stars … What comes next? 5 stars! The rule is +1.
Tower 1: 🟦 (1 block) Tower 2: 🟦🟦 (2 blocks) Tower 3: 🟦🟦🟦 (3 blocks) Tower 4: 🟦🟦🟦🟦 (4 blocks) Rule: add 1 block each time!
