Terms of Use

By accessing or using Dangon (the "Service") at https://learn.dangon.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, regardless of whether they have created an account.

2.1 General Eligibility

The Service is designed for educational use by students in grades K–12 (approximately ages 5–18). There is no minimum age requirement to access the free, account-free features of the Service.

2.2 Account Registration by Children Under 13

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), children under the age of 13 may not create an account without verifiable parental consent. If a child under 13 wishes to register, a parent or guardian must complete the registration process using their own email address and provide consent on the child's behalf.

2.3 Users Ages 13–17

Users between the ages of 13 and 17 may register for an account, but a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms. By permitting a minor to use the Service, the parent or guardian agrees to be bound by these Terms on behalf of the minor and accepts responsibility for the minor's use of the Service.

2.4 Adult Users

If you are 18 or older, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and agree to abide by all applicable laws and regulations.

3.1 Registration

Certain features require account registration. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Use a strong, unique password
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Notify us immediately at dango@dangon.co if you suspect unauthorised access
• Log out of your account after each session on shared devices

Dangon is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

3.3 One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the Service is prohibited.

3.4 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at dango@dangon.co. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, subject to our data retention obligations.

4.1 Licence Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Dangon grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

4.2 Permitted Uses

• Accessing lessons, quizzes, and educational content for personal learning
• Playing games available on the platform
• Using calculators, tools, and interactive features for educational purposes
• Sharing links to the Service with students, parents, or educators
• Using the Service in classroom settings under teacher supervision

4.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service's content without written permission
• Use the Service for commercial purposes or resell access to the Service
• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Create derivative works based on the Service or its content
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract content
• Frame or mirror the Service on another website without prior written consent

5.1 Ownership

The Service and its entire contents — including but not limited to lessons, quiz questions, game code, graphics, animations, text, logos, trademarks, and software — are owned byDangon or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of the United States and applicable international treaties.

5.2 Trademarks

"Dangon", the Dangon lion mascot logo, and related marks are trademarks of Dangon. You may not use these marks without prior written permission from Dangon.

5.3 Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas to Dangon, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback into the Service without any obligation to you.

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

• Violating any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Uploading, transmitting, or distributing harmful, offensive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or illegal content
• Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Service or its related systems
• Transmitting spam, chain letters, or unsolicited commercial communications
• Introducing viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code into the Service
• Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service
• Collecting or harvesting personal information of other users
• Using the Service to cheat on academic assignments or assessments in a manner prohibited by your educational institution
• Circumventing any content filtering or access control mechanisms

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your access to the Service and may be reported to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

At this time, Dangon does not provide public-facing features for user-generated content (such as public forums, comments, or uploaded files). If such features are introduced in the future, additional terms governing user content will apply and will be communicated to users at that time.

Any communications you send to us (such as support emails or feedback forms) are not considered confidential and may be used by Dangon for service improvement purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Dangon. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.

We strongly advise you to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit. Dangon expressly disclaims all liability for any harm or damages that may arise from your use of third-party websites.

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that Dangon may display advertisements within the Service.

9.1 Nature of Advertising

Advertisements are clearly labelled as such and are served on a contextual, non-personalised basis — meaning they are based on the content of the page being viewed, not on any profile, browsing history, or behavioural tracking of you. Dangon does not permit behavioural or interest-based advertising or the tracking of users across other websites for advertising purposes. Further detail is provided in our Privacy Policy.

9.2 No Endorsement

Dangon does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any product, service, advertiser, or claim featured in an advertisement. Any dealings you have with advertisers — including payment, delivery of goods or services, and any other terms — are solely between you and the advertiser. Selecting an advertisement may direct you to a third-party website that is governed by that party's own terms of use and privacy policy.

9.3 Parental Supervision & Reporting

Because the Service is used by children, we encourage parents, guardians, and educators to supervise children's interaction with advertisements. If you encounter an advertisement that you believe is inappropriate for a child audience, please report it to us immediately at dango@dangon.co so we can review and block it.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF INFORMATIONAL CONTENT.

DANGON DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected
• The Service or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components

Educational content on the Service is provided for general informational and learning purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional educational advice or formal academic instruction. Curriculum content may not align with every jurisdiction's educational standards.

DANGON MAKES NO WARRANTY AND ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY PRODUCT, SERVICE, OR CLAIM PROMOTED IN ANY ADVERTISEMENT DISPLAYED ON THE SERVICE. ADVERTISED CONTENT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE RELEVANT ADVERTISER.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DANGON AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Cost of substitute goods or services
• Loss of educational progress or academic results
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
• Conduct or content of any third party on the Service

IN NO EVENT SHALL DANGON'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DANGON IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100 (ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dangon and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from:

• Your access to or use of the Service
• Your violation of any provision of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Any content you submit or transmit through the Service

12.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, contact us at dango@dangon.co.

12.2 Termination by Dangon

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, for any of the following reasons:

• Violation of these Terms
• Conduct that is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service
• Failure to pay any applicable fees (if any are introduced)
• Requests from law enforcement or government authorities
• Discontinuation of the Service

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Advertising), 10 (Disclaimer), 11 (Limitation of Liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law) shall survive termination.

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation. Please contact us at dango@dangon.co to initiate this process.

If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in accordance with the U.S. Federal Arbitration Act. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Ohio, United States, and proceedings shall be conducted in English.

14.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

14.4 Jurisdiction for Court Proceedings

For any matters not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Ohio, United States, for resolution of disputes arising from these Terms.

Dangon reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect
• Display a prominent notice on the Service

Material changes include, but are not limited to, changes to your rights, our liability, dispute resolution procedures, or data handling practices.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
