Sorting & Classifying

Sort objects into groups based on what they have in common.

SORTING means putting things into groups that share the same rule — like color, shape, or size. When things belong to a group, we say they are CLASSIFIED together.

🎨Sorting by color
Red group:    🍎 🌹 🍓
Yellow group: 🍋 đŸŒģ 🌟
Blue group:   đŸĢ 🌊 💙

All the red things belong together!

Round shapes:    âšŊ 🍊 🌍

How to sort:

1Choose a RULE (color? shape? size? type?)
2Look at each object and ask: which group does it belong to?
3Place it in the correct group
4Check: does every object in the group follow the same rule?
