Patterns on the Coordinate Grid

A pattern is a sequence that follows a rule. When two related number patterns share the same rule, you can plot their paired values as ordered pairs (x, y) on a coordinate grid to see a visual relationship.

🌟Two Related Patterns
Pattern A (x): 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (rule: add 1)
Pattern B (y): 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 (rule: add 2)
Paired: (0,0), (1,2), (2,4), (3,6), (4,8)
Notice: every y value is always twice the x value!

Reading Ordered Pairs

First number = x (move right)Second number = y (move up)Always start at the origin (0, 0)Plot: right first, then up

"Run before you jump" — go along the x-axis, then up the y-axis.
